The Civil Aviation Industry in India has emerged as one of the fastest growing industries in the country during the last three years. India is currently considered the third largest domestic civil aviation market in the world.

According to International Air Transport Association (IATA), India will displace the UK for the third place in 2026.

The Civil Aviation Industry has ushered in a new era of expansion, driven by factors such as low-cost carriers (LCCs), modern airports, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in domestic airlines, advanced information technology (IT) interventions and growing emphasis on regional connectivity.

The number of air passengers increased from 1.40 crores in 2000-01 to 13.5 crores (both domestic and international). That is, 16.3 percent growth annually. During 2015-16, this growth has been 21.6 percent and 9 percent in domestic and international passengers respectively. India is the third largest domestic civil Aviation Industry in the world and is projected to become overall third largest aviation market by March 2018. It recorded an air traffic of 131 million passengers in 2016, to be 60 million international passengers by the end of 2017. The market is also estimated to have 800 aircraft by 2020.

In 2015, Boeing projected India’s demand for aircraft to touch 1,740, valued at $240 billion, over the next 20 years in India. This would account for 4.3 per cent of global volumes. According to Airbus, India will be one of the top three Aviation Industry market globally in the next 20 years. Airbus is expecting an annual growth rate of over 11 per cent for the domestic market in India over the next ten years, while the combined growth rate for domestic and international routes would also be more than 10 per cent.

Hospitality Industry

The Hospitality Industry is a broad category of fields within the service industry that includes lodging, food and drink service, event planning, theme parks, transportation, cruise line, traveling, airline and additional fields within the tourism industry.

Hospitality industry concentrates on customer’s satisfaction by creating good services and products that will meet their needs.
